Boulder to remove 121 emerald ash borer-infested ash trees
(BOULDER DAILY CAMERA) — While Boulder’s Parks and Recreation Department has planted more than 1,500 new trees to mitigate the impact of emerald ash borer, which was discovered in the area in 2013, the most destructive forest pest in U.S. history is still causing damage. The city announced on Jan. 6 the need to remove an additional 121 ash trees infested with EAB.
