City Park Denver Panorama of TreesIn preparation for Denver’s Arbor Day Celebration, Denver’s Office of the City Forester is pleased to announce its annual Arbor Day Poster Contest, an artistic competition for public, private and home-schooled fifth graders. The poster contest strives to increase an appreciation and awareness of the important role that trees play in the environment and in our quality of life.

A winning entry from each school will be entered in the statewide contest to compete with other Colorado schools. The winner of the state judging will receive a framed print of their winning poster and a $500 gift card. The teacher of the winning student will receive a $100 gift card for art supplies.

Posters judged at the state competition will be displayed at Denver Botanic Gardens from April 15 through May 5.
