In preparation for Denver’s Arbor Day Celebration, Denver’s Office of the City Forester is pleased to announce its annual Arbor Day Poster Contest, an artistic competition for public, private and home-schooled fifth graders. The poster contest strives to increase an appreciation and awareness of the important role that trees play in the environment and in our quality of life.
A winning entry from each school will be entered in the statewide contest to compete with other Colorado schools. The winner of the state judging will receive a framed print of their winning poster and a $500 gift card. The teacher of the winning student will receive a $100 gift card for art supplies.
Posters judged at the state competition will be displayed at Denver Botanic Gardens from April 15 through May 5.
